Officials urge preparation for hikes after weekend rescues in the Gorge

With warmer temperatures back in the Pacific Northwest, more people are looking to spend the sunny days on local trails but officials are reminding hikers to be prepared after two separate incidents over the weekend.
The body of a 61-year-old solo hiker was found by Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office Search and Rescue Saturday afternoon at Horsetail Falls.
Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office said two hikers were stranded in the woods near Multnomah Falls Saturday night into Sunday.
